Dear Fellow Students and Alumni:

We would like to take this time to introduce you to your connection with the American medical student body. As students at UHSA we have been accepted as a chartered member of AMSA, the American Medical Students' Association. We believe this to be a vital link to US medical schools and residency programs. As foreign medical students it is very important to align ourselves with those interests that are recognized in the United States.

As a chapter we are entitled to various benefits of AMSA membership including literature, databases, and services such as malpractice insurance and student loans. To stay current we maintain quarterly meetings and perform community service projects here in Antigua. Our current project is to provide a daily breakfast for a local grade school. We can accomplish this for under $300 US dollars per year.
