Applying to UHSA

UHSA operates on a rolling admissions basis, with the following entry dates:

  • Medical School – January, May, and September
  • Nursing School – September

The Admissions Process

  • Official Transcripts from all colleges/universities attended.
    • Premedical and Nursing students must submit their high school diploma.
    • Transcripts must be in English.
    • Unofficial transcripts can be uploaded to the application.
  • Copy of passport (if available)
  • Two official Letters Of Recommendation (LOR) from individuals who can evaluate past academic and/or professional achievements.
    • These letters must be in English and appear on original letterhead stationery.
    • LOR’s must be sent directly from the individual giving the recommendation. Letters sent from the applicant will not be accepted.
    • LOR’s may either be mailed to the above address, or emailed to admissions@uhsa.edu.ag.
  • Personal Statement of no less than 400 words.

Step 3 - Undergo a remote interview:

Upon receipt of all required documents, the Department of Admission may schedule an online interview with the candidate to evaluate his/her motivation to study medicine.

Step 4 – Expect a decision:

The admissions committee meets once per week. You will receive an electronic communication from the committee once a decision has been made.
