Displaced Ukraine-based Medical Students
UHSA welcomes medical students displaced by the war in Ukraine. An applicant must be enrolled at a medical school in Ukraine to be considered a transfer student. To apply, applicants must upload to our online application, at minimum, a personal statement and transcripts so that completed courses can be evaluated.
Transcripts must be in English or include a word-by-word certified translation done by a certified translation service.
We understand the difficulty of obtaining official transcripts and other documents during this challenging period, so applications will be reviewed with unofficial copies until official records can be obtained.
- Scholarships are available for students enrolled at Ukrainian medical schools.
- African students displaced by the war in Ukraine may also qualify for the 8B Student Loan program to cover the cost of their medical education.
